Hours:
6:30-3:00 (M-Th) 6:30-12:00 (Fri) •May have to lift up to 50lbs•Essential job duties: Prep and wrap finished products (custom metal parts for the optical, medical and military industries). Parts vary in size; however, many are small in nature and need to be wrapped in foam. Print and adhere shipping labels (will be trained to enter information into their system). Perform basic inspection, scale weigh or count parts to match customer request. This is a very repetitive role, candidates with smaller hands, good dexterity and high attention to detail tend to work out well. Job enables employee to either sit and/or stand to perform job functions, some products do require standing to perform prep work. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the flow of goods in and out of our distribution center. You will play a crucial part in ensuring that orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently, while maintaining high standards of inventory management. Duties Process incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring all items are accounted for and properly documented. Utilize RF scanners to track inventory levels and manage stock within the warehouse management system. Load and unload trucks, ensuring safe handling of products and materials. Assist with order fulfillment by picking items accurately according to customer specifications. Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely processing of orders and shipments. Perform basic math calculations to verify quantities and ensure accuracy in shipping documentation. Utilize AS400 or MRP systems for inventory tracking and reporting purposes. Requirements Previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment is preferred. Familiarity with order fulfillment processes and inventory management systems is highly desirable. Proficient in basic math skills for accurate order processing and inventory checks. Experience operating forklifts is a plus; certification may be required. Ability to use RF scanners effectively for tracking shipments and inventory levels. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. Physical capability to lift heavy loads as needed during loading/unloading processes.
