Now, we’re looking for a dedicated Warehouse Assistant Managerto join our hardworking team and help keep operations running smoothly behind the scenes. Your Role at FishUSA As the Warehouse Assistant Manager, you’ll lead day-to-day operations in our Receiving Department and ensure that merchandise moves through the warehouse with accuracy and efficiency. From supervising staff to ensuring vendor issues are resolved quickly, you’ll be a hands-on leader who takes ownership of key warehouse processes. What You’ll Do Oversee the Receiving Department in collaboration with the warehouse manager, including scheduling, assigning tasks, and mentoring staff Manage the daily flow of incoming products, ensuring timely and accurate receiving and putaway within the warehouse Ensure adherence to the Receiving Department’s procedures and practices while meeting all receiving goals and timelines Resolve receiving discrepancies by communicating directly with vendors and updating inventory records Oversee various processes, including customer and vendor returns, restocking, overflow bins, repacking, and adjustment bins Lead PO reconciliation efforts and monitor outstanding invoice or delivery issues Assist with maintaining inventory integrity, including accurate item bin assignments and restock practices Work closely with the Warehouse Manager on staffing, performance feedback, training, and continuous improvement Provide daily hands-on support to ensure operational flow is uninterrupted during high volume or priority shifts Collaborate with other departments to resolve order issues quickly and efficiently Monitor Receiving KPIs and adjust team priorities or workflows to meet departmental targets Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment and actively participate in safety initiatives Train new and existing team members on Receiving processes and FishUSA standards to ensure consistent execution Identify workflow inefficiencies and recommend improvements to help streamline Receiving operations Perform any tasks necessary to support overall warehouse operations, including stepping in where needed across departments. What You Bring Prior experience in a warehouse assistant manager or supervisory role Strong leadership and coaching skills in a fast-paced, hands-on environment Proficiency with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office applications Familiarity with shipping procedures (USPS, FedEx, UPS, and LTL carriers)
