Position:

Shipping Clerk Job Summary To assure all shipments are properly labeled before being loaded on the truck for delivery; all bills of lading are typed; LTL shipments are prepared for pick up; any other duties as assigned.

Pay:

$19 USD/hr Responsibilities Organize BOL’s and packing slips from previous day to send to accounting Create labels for warehouse Assign carriers to pick-up LTL Get freight quotes for sales office Handle customer pick-ups Manage inventory Request production supplies through the Purchase Order requisition system Update and track daily plant reports and communicate with appropriate parties Answer phone Create all shipping documents for current day trucks Receive in supplies and customer returns Reprint revised shipping documents throughout the day to keep most current one. Any other duties as requested by management Qualifications Ability to perform related computer tasks Excellent math and reading skills Ability to work productively with minimum supervision Strong interpersonal skills Ability to multi-task Physical Demands Position may require periods of intense physical exertion in conditions of low to high temperatures and humidity. Position requires the ability to stand, bend, and stretch over extended periods of time during a normal work shift. Must be able to lift 25 lbs. Schedule Monday through Friday 8am
