Job Description As a Shipping Clerk, you will ensure quality products are shipped and delivered on time. The Shipping Clerk’s responsibilities will include the following:
Job Duties:
Identify all items with appropriate documents and labels. Maintain open communication with inventory control and manufacturing personnel. Troubleshoot and problem solve any errors and exceptions in the system that revolve around receiving and allocation. Perform to established methods and standards, meeting or exceeding the department’s safety, quality, and productivity goals. Monitor all “hot” material movement between campuses and ensure all transactions are completed. Allocate inbound materials to their proper location, including the warehouse, assembly line, and additional locations. Verifies and keeps records on outgoing/incoming shipments, equipment, and materials, and prepares regular reports for managers Offload, inspect, organize, and place merchandise in designated storage location by lifting items as necessary or operating forklifts and pallet jacks for large goods Manages inventory, stocking program, and warehouse functions Manages and initiates RMA’s/RGA’s as directed by the Manager. Performs other duties as required by the
Manager Required Qualifications:
Experience in shipping and receiving. Able to lift 50 lbs multiple times a day Able to climb a ladder Knowledge of logistics procedures. Computer Savvy with knowledge of Microsoft Office. Excellent organization and communication skills. Attention to detail and the ability to multitask is a must. Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Education:
