Parts Kitter

Oakland Parkway, Columbia, TN 38401 As a Parts Puller for JC Ford your strong safety orientation and attention to detail is critical to the smooth production of its products. You’ll play a key role in preparing product based on clients’ needs, measuring and other essential tasks. Your day will be fast-paced and satisfyingly productive.

Responsibilities Include:

Supporting production needs and kits jobs daily Responsible for identifying shortages and entering them on daily shortage report Update shortage report and shortage is cleared Notify coordinator of any shortages Arranges stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers Loading and unloading of trucks and containers Put away all incoming material in designated storage locations Uncrates and kits CTs for production needs Sorts and places material or items on racks, shelves or bins according to pre-determined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product Records all material moves within warehouse on material move spread sheet Basic knowledge of Computers and the MRP system in place is a prerequisite Comply with plant safety procedures to ensure a safe environment. Account for time and work completed via online computer data collection system. Respecting all JC Ford policies and practices Maintaining a clean and organized work area always

Experience and Background:

Demonstrate competency in basic shop math. Ability to read and understand blueprints and other shop drawing aids. Must be able to perform basic Excel functions. Flexible and responsive, with a strong teamwork orientation. Good verbal and written communication skills. Desire to learn new skills and improve technical knowledge. Commitment to quality and accuracy of work performed and continuous improvement. Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Demonstrated ability to work well with others and to participate in a cross-functional team. Possess ability to drive for results, hold self-accountable, and continuously improve.
