Job Description

Inbound Clerk (1st Shift) 2.8 2.8 out of 5 stars Lebanon, TN 37090 Job Summary The Inbound Clerk maintains in-depth knowledge of our products and operating procedures and stays in regular contact with the shift manager and peers in each department to meet daily goals. This position identifies operating issues and takes corrective action as needed. This role maintains in-depth knowledge of our ERP systems (IDS, SPS, WebAdmin, Portal) and data analysis tools to support daily operations. Responsibilities Works closely with the department leadership to ensure a high level of productivity and quality while achieving operating goals; promote team adherence to Company policies and procedures Ensure all products are received and stocked with a high level of inventory accuracy and quality Maintains the error log and utilizes IDS to track accountability and ensure accuracy standards are met Respond to any questions or issues concerning PO’s and escalate to the appropriate personnel Monitor and provide consistent feedback to employees on individual and team performance on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis Provide training to new and current employees to ensure uniform and consistent processes; address and correct any receiving process issues within the department Serve as a liaison between various departments within the warehouse to support effective communications Support the development of a cross-trained team that can flex into other departments or jobs as needed Other duties as assigned Physical Requirements Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 12 hours/day. Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing. Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations. Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching. Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75lbs. Experience May be required to operate warehouse equipment including a forklift Proficiency with MS Office required (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical and complex concepts in a simple and concise way to ensure ease of understanding Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Ability to quickly adapt as business needs change; ability to address difficult situations with diplomacy and emotional intelligence Customer service-oriented attitude with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations Education High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience Desired Traits Proficiency with computer skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a distribution environment; receiving and/or inventory experience preferred Experience operating a forklift Working Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Occasional activities may involve exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
