Job Description

Assistant Warehouse Manager Bitflow Innovative Group Inc Birmingham, AL 35209 Job Summary The primary objective of the Assistant Warehouse Manager is to ensure that customer service levels are high by minimizing shipping/receiving errors and making sure that orders are fulfilled within shipping cutoffs. The objective will be met by providing the training, directives, and motivation to all positions within the Pulling, Shipping, and Receiving departments so that they function at maximum efficiency and represent the Company as it relates to corporate policies and procedures Job Requirements & Qualifications Must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required Specialized warehouse management training of at least two years is preferred A minimum of two years of experience as a supervisor within a distribution setting is preferred A minimum of two years of experience within the veterinary industry is preferred Must have a valid Driver’s License Forklift certified or ability to become forklift certified required Ability to read, write and speak English Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural manuals Ability to perform general building maintenance Basic computer skills, ability to operate a Windows-based computer and data entry Ability to differentiate details related to product codes and descriptions (such as verifying a string of numbers) Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentages. Good listening and verbal communication skills to include the ability to demonstrate diplomacy and professionalism Strong organizational skills Ability to manage, delegate to, and lead employees to ensure ultimate performance levels Ability to work well with others and independently The ability to make quick decisions based on sound business logic Ability to work with Corporate office to achieve mutual goals Ability to remain flexible and open minded
