Position Summary:
The Warehouse Inventory Manager’s primary responsibilities are to ensure the safety and accuracy of inventory. He/She will be responsible for overseeing a warehouse team and monitoring inventory levels. Also, he/she will be responsible for the overall supervision, management, and coordination of the day-to-day operations of the warehouse ensuring that targets and quality standards are achieved. Will supervise, coach, discipline and teach clerks in their warehouse efforts. Essential Duties/Job Responsibilities (Job Duties) Plan, assign and delegate/direct work for team members to meet production demands, schedules, quality, and quantity requirements. Achieve inventory accuracy, coordinating order fulfilment, and tracking shipping times. Institute routine physical inventory counts and where there are discrepancies, investigate and take corrective actions. Delegate and coordinate assignments as necessary to effectively utilize team members, equipment, and materials for production. Coach/train team members on areas such as performance, quality, and safety. Maintain daily communication with team members. Manage timesheets, coordinate vacation and absences ensuring necessary coverage. Partake in team problem solving and preventative/corrective action as required. Direct, supervise, and coordinate operations. Analyze and diagnose material and tooling/equipment problems. Develop procedures, work instructions and standard training plans on new equipment operation, part processes and part quality inspection. Initiate, suggest, and implement plans to motivate, empower, and develop workers to achieve work goals in a team environment. Assure inventory system and process are carefully maintained on a timely basis.
Minimum Qualifications/Skills:
Bachelor’s degree appreciated. Strong leadership skills Ability to work independently within a team environment. Strong attention to detail Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, diagrams, and schematics. Ability to operate job specific tools and equipment skillfully and safely. Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong problem-solving capabilities Ability to use MS Office applications. Excellent knowledge of warehouse/distribution processes
Experience:
Minimum of two years of experience in a supervisory/leadership role. Minimum of two years of experience in a warehouse/distribution role required. Experience with training and development, conflict resolution, and coordination of large teams. Experience in a light manufacturing setting preferred. Experience driving a forklift appreciated. Experience using Kronos/UKG time keeping system a plus.
Requirements:
Work environment and working conditions are reflective of a light manufacturing setting. Perform work on concrete floors for duration of shift. Must be able to lift and move (push, pull, carry) items weighing up to 50 lbs. Must be able to raise arms above shoulders regularly and freely rotate arms/shoulders to lift/move parts. Must be able to kneel, crouch, stoop, bend, and squat when needed. Work will include repetitive hand, arm, wrist, and leg motion.
