This role entails leading and mentoring a team of delivery drivers, optimizing delivery routes, managing inventory, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional organizational and attention-to-detail skills, strong communication and problem-solving abilities, and a steadfast commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Delivery scheduling: Creating and managing delivery schedules based on customer availability and driver capacity.
Team management:
Leading and supervising a team of delivery drivers, assigning routes, and monitoring performance.
Customer communication:
Contacting customers to confirm delivery windows, addressing concerns, and managing expectations.
Quality control:
Inspecting furniture before delivery, ensuring proper packaging and damage prevention.
Assembly and placement:
Coordinating furniture assembly services, ensuring items are placed correctly within the customer’s home.
Issue resolution:
Handling customer complaints regarding delivery issues, damaged furniture, or installation problems.
Logistics coordination:
Collaborating with warehouse staff to ensure timely loading and dispatch of furniture.
Safety compliance:
Enforcing safety protocols for drivers and ensuring proper handling of furniture during delivery.
REQUIRED SKILLS
