Full Job Description Role:
Warehouse Manager Position Overview:
We are currently looking for a full-time Warehouse Manager to join our team within a financially stable and growing organization, with strong leadership and mentoring. The Warehouse Manager will work out of our Ellington, CT HQ office & warehouse. Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Fleet & Vehicle Management Schedule regular vehicle maintenance (oil changes, tire rotations, minor repairs). Manage registrations, insurance cards, EZPASS, and fuel cards (add/remove drivers, order replacements). Oversee Samsara fleet management and vehicle tracking systems (add/remove users, install/replace devices, troubleshoot issues). Schedule DOT and ANSI inspections on vehicles, trailers, and scissor lifts. Do regular fleet checks (tires, trailer chains, windshield wipers, general condition). Coordinate windshield replacements and report all vehicle changes to insurance. Handle vehicle purchases, sales, and outfitting; communicate with relevant departments. Warehouse & Equipment Manage warehouse inventory and material checkins; distribute packing slips. Make sure job materials are ready for daily installs. Oversee warehouse team and assign warehouse and property tasks as needed. Work with Purchasing dept to order supplies and tools (e.g., truck cleaning products, Milwaukee tool repairs). Pick up materials as needed. Oversee waste and recycling. Use of small equipment i.e., skid steer, mini excavator, forklift. Administrative & Compliance Keep fleet spreadsheet updated with new equipment, drivers, and registration info. Submit required DOT and UCR filings on time. Review, approve, and enter truck service invoices; reset service records. Update Salesforce and spreadsheets with received materials. Obtain serial numbers for materials and send info to the warranty team. Vendor & Logistics Act as the main contact for truck issues and coordinate repairs and services. Work with forklift and pallet jack repair vendors. Schedule shipments with UPS, FedEx, LTL, or other carriers. Team & Marketing Support Help marketing with trade shows and vehicle branding updates (logos, wraps). Share vehicle updates and needs with other departments.
Qualifications:
Associate degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field (preferred). 5+ years of warehouse/logistics management experience, preferably in solar, construction, or a related industry. 2+ years of experience managing a commercial vehicle fleet. Demonstrated success in leading warehouse teams and improving operations through automation and process improvements. Forklift certification OSHA certification or strong safety background Valid driver’s license; CDL or fleet management certification is a plus. Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs as needed. Ability to work in warehouse environments (hot/cold, indoor/outdoor). Computer skills including Microsoft Windows Suite (including Outlook email) Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Compensation:
$80,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
