Summary:

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Warehouse Manager with proven experience in food manufacturing—preferably within a bakery environment. This position is responsible for leading our warehouse operations with a strong focus on food safety, regulatory compliance, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, organized, and committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and well-managed warehouse. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned) Ensure all shipping and receiving activities follow established SOPs. Lead the warehouse team in compliance with food safety, food defense, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). Maintain a clean and safe work environment across all areas, including dry storage, packaging storage, and finished goods freezers. Supervise two warehouse employees; manage schedules, delegate tasks, and ensure compliance with Alessi’s code of conduct. Pre-stage ingredients according to production schedules. Pull and document all dry and frozen ingredients and packaging materials accurately to support production builds. Check and log truck temperatures before loading or unloading ingredients. Maintain real-time inventory accuracy, including daily updates and cycle counts. Communicate inventory shortages promptly with the Inventory Coordinator. Assist in planning logistics for outbound shipments and negotiate efficient shipping rates. Load finished product trucks in accordance with purchase orders (POs). Perform quick and accurate math calculations without a calculator.

Supervisory Responsibility:

Supervises a team of 2.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of warehouse management experience in a food manufacturing facility (bakery experience strongly preferred). Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and warehouse safety practices. Certified forklift operator, with the ability to train others. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook . Strong ability to write reports and professional correspondence. Capable of developing and writing clear, actionable SOPs. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

$55,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
