The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the warehouse, ensuring efficient order fulfillment, shipping and receiving processes, and maintaining optimal inventory levels. This role requires strong leadership skills and a solid understanding of warehouse management systems and best practices. Responsibilities Oversee all warehouse operations including order fulfillment, shipping, and receiving. Manage inventory levels through effective inventory management practices. Implement lean methodologies to improve operational efficiency and reduce waste. Coordinate demand planning to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained. Supervise the use of transportation management systems to optimize logistics processes. Train and mentor warehouse staff on best practices, safety procedures, and operational protocols. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment. Utilize forklift equipment for material handling as necessary. Collaborate with procurement teams to buy necessary supplies and manage vendor relationships. Experience Proven experience in warehouse management or a related field is essential. Strong knowledge of order fulfillment processes, shipping and receiving operations, and inventory management systems. Familiarity with demand planning techniques and transportation management systems is preferred. Experience with lean principles in a warehouse setting is an advantage. Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Strong leadership skills with experience in team supervision and development.
