Jungle Boys is searching for a Distribution Assistant Manager to add to our growing team! A successful Distribution Assistant Manager is detail-oriented, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This role supports the Distribution Manager in overseeing daily operations of the department, including inventory handling, delivery coordination, order fulfillment, and compliance with all regulatory and company standards. The ideal candidate is a strong team leader who promotes accuracy, accountability, and operational excellence across all distribution activities. Supervisory Duties Support hiring and onboarding of the Distribution Specialists and Delivery fleet team members with Distribution Manager Provides guidance, coaching, and performance management reviews as required to Distribution and Delivery team members Takes ownership of the Distribution team and space when the Manager is out of the business.
Requirements:
Support the Distribution Manager in leading daily operations of the Distribution department, ensuring efficient and compliant movement of all cannabis and non-cannabis products. Oversees team scheduling, verifies timeclock entries, and ensures timesheet accuracy in compliance with HR policies and procedures. Oversees order fulfillment processes with Distribution Leads and Supervisors, including picking, packing, labeling, staging, and documentation of outgoing shipments. Verify the accuracy of incoming transfers and outgoing shipments, including batch/sublot numbers, product SKUs, quantities, and all supporting documentation. Perform weekly cycle counts in the Distribution department with all team members; capable of identifying discrepancies and forming resolutions to prevent future recurrence. Partner with the Stock Supervisor to ensure optimal organization and space utilization within the Distribution department to support workflow and inventory integrity. Track and record inventory data at all stages of the distribution process using internal systems and state traceability software. Partner with the Distribution Manager and cross-functional partners to set the Delivery fleet drivers up for success; support leading and development of the delivery team members. Ensure delivery trucks are loaded and prepared to standard for the retail teams at final destinations. Collaborate with leadership peers to resolve daily operational issues and ensure performance goals are met in facility. Supporting training and adherence to SOPs, GMPs, safety guidelines, and all applicable regulations to ensure consistency, safety, compliance, and prevent diversions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in inventory tracking systems and Microsoft Excel; strong data entry and analytical skills. Solid understanding of inventory documentation through audits and physical counts, product tracking, and regulatory compliance. Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and standard operating procedures. Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to collaborate effectively across teams. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, as business needs require. Must be at least 21 years old and able to pass all background checks required by state cannabis regulations. Physical and Mental Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position, move and position oneself, communicate, operate, and prepare, and place, and position objects, tools, or controls. The employee must occasionally move packages weighing up to 20 lb. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close observation and the ability to adjust focus. Working Environment:
Work is performed in a manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment can range from low to high. Temperatures in the work environment range from cold and dry to warm and humid, respective to the product processes and plant lifecycle. The work environment requires the use of PPE at all phases, and strict cleaning and cross-contamination protocols. The product and plants are agriculture goods that have the ability to produce odors that may linger, can penetrate clothing, and heighten senses.
