Duties, Responsibilities & Other:
Must be a highly self-motivated dynamic individual. Directly reports to Florida Regional Practice Leader. Serves as a Practice Leader in the Transportation Design Discipline. Marketing/Business Development – build backlog by pursing and winning new projects for Transportation Design. Identify target clients and opportunities that best position KCI to expand our presence in the market and build backlog. Meet with existing and clients to position KCI for future work Lead the effort to market and position the firm to capture the opportunities Lead/assist with teaming efforts Lead development of proposals Design/Build – Work closely with KCI D/B Discipline Head and others to assess the D/B market Where appropriate, serve as Project Manager or Pursuit Lead as appropriate. Management/Leadership/Motivation Responsible for operations of the central Florida Highway group including performance reviews and meeting annual targets Provide Leadership/Mentorship/Motivation to staff Take an active role in recruitment and development of new staff Project Management/Engineering – serve as a Project Manager on design or design-build projects Develop (or assist with) scope, schedule and fees for projects Serve as a PM or technical resources to develop plans, specifications and estimates Provide independent QA/QC on projects Work closely with other KCI Disciplines to market/cross-sell/engineer work.

Work Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in related field (AEC Industry) and minimum of 7 years of related professional experience, or 11 years of equivalent professional experience. Progressive professional and increasing project management and organizational management experience. Proven experience in project management roles within the technical practice. Demonstrated leadership capability to build and lead teams of technical practitioners and/or project managers. Strong interpersonal as well as verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage budgets, project margins, and cash flow. Experience in business development, with a focus on maximizing client relationships and identifying growth opportunities. Commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence within the Practice. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions. Adaptability and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in relevant software and tools use in the practice area. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to the service line
