We are seeking a strongly experienced Manager to lead our 140,000 SF warehouse product for optimization and maximized capacity. We service both general cargoes and e-commerce cargoes. We are not handing hazardous cargoes.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Warehouse Manager to verse our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of warehouse activities, including inventory management, staff supervision, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership skills and the ability to optimize warehouse processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Key Responsibilities’:
- Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
- Develop and implement warehouse procedures to improve overall performance.
- Monitor and analyze warehouse metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
Staff Supervision:
- Recruit, train and supervise warehouse staff, including performance evaluations and professional development.
- Schedule staff to meet operational demands and ensure adequate coverage during peak times.
- Foster a positive and safe working environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
Inventory Control:
- Manage inventory levels, ensure accurate stock counts and timely replenishment.
- Implement processes for receiving, storing, and shipping products efficiently.
- Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct regular safety training sessions and inspections.
- Address any safety concerns promptly and effectively.
Budgeting and Cost Management:
- Develop and manage a warehouse budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Monitor expenses and implement strategies to optimize costs.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with other company divisions such as trucking, logistics, sales, and procurement to ensure seamless operations.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and customers regarding inventory and shipment issues.
- Timely responses and resolve of all customer issues, both externally and internally.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in warehouse management or a similar role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Good MS Office skills, Word & Excel.
