The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient inventory management, order fulfillment, and transportation planning. This role requires strong leadership skills and a thorough understanding of warehouse management systems to maintain optimal productivity and safety standards. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day yard operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols. Oversee inventory management processes, including picking, packing, and order fulfillment. Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 software for tracking inventory levels and optimizing storage solutions. Coordinate transportation planning to ensure timely delivery of goods while minimizing costs. Implement best practices in materials handling to enhance operational efficiency. Train and supervise staff on proper procedures for warehouse operations, including the use of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System). Monitor performance metrics and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with company policies. Experience Proven experience in a warehouse or yard management role is preferred. Familiarity with e-commerce operations and order fulfillment processes is a plus. Strong knowledge of inventory management techniques and materials handling practices. Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 software is highly desirable. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
