Warehouse Manager Job Overview:

The Warehouse manager will oversee all operations within the warehouse including managing inventory levels, coordinating shipping and receiving, organizing storage space, ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining safety protocols, and leading a team of warehouse staff. The ideal Warehouse Manager candidate will focus on optimizing operational efficiency, maintaining high-quality standards, and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels to reduce discrepancies, ensure optimal stock rotation, and support demand forecasting. Implement best practices to manage stock efficiently and minimize waste.

Receiving and Shipping Operations:

Supervise the receiving process, ensuring that incoming goods are accurate and meet quality standards. Manage the timely and accurate dispatch of orders to customers, ensuring all shipping deadlines are met.

Warehouse Layout and Organization:

Design, implement, and continuously optimize the warehouse layout to maximize storage space, improve workflow, and streamline picking and packing processes.

Staff Supervision and Development:

Hire, train, and manage warehouse staff, assigning tasks based on operational needs. Promote a positive team environment and ensure that all safety protocols and operational procedures are followed. Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback.

Quality Control:

Oversee quality assurance processes to maintain product integrity and accuracy in inventory. Implement regular product and process audits to ensure adherence to company standards and identify areas for improvement.

Compliance and Safety:

Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and local laws. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to maintain a safe, hazard-free working environment.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as productivity, order accuracy, and on-time deliveries. Use data-driven insights to identify areas of improvement and collaborate with senior management to implement corrective actions. Generate regular reports on warehouse performance, trends, and metrics, presenting solutions and recommendations to leadership for continuous improvement.

Technology Utilization:

Leverage Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to track inventory, monitor shipments, and optimize operational workflows. Stay up to date with technological advancements to improve warehouse efficiency and data accuracy.

Qualifications :

Experience:

5+years of management experience in third-party overseas warehouses (over 200,000 SF).

Leadership Skills:

Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record of managing, motivating, and developing teams. Ability to cultivate a positive, collaborative environment while holding employees accountable.

Organizational and Time Management Skills:

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain order in a complex, dynamic setting.

Problem-Solving Skills:

Ability to quickly identify operational issues and implement effective solutions to ensure minimal disruption to warehouse operations.

Communication Skills:

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members, customers, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.

Technical Proficiency:

Solid understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and related software. Proficient in data analysis and using technology to optimize processes.

Analytical Skills:

Strong analytical abilities with experience in interpreting data to make informed decisions that improve operational efficiency and meet business goals.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred

Language:

Bilingual in Spanish is preferred
