Distribution Center Manager Charles Street Talent Advisors Cumming, GA 30041 Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Distribution Center Manager to oversee the daily operations of our distribution center. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient and effective management of inventory, transportation, and order fulfillment processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, a keen understanding of demand planning, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Responsibilities Manage all aspects of the distribution center operations, including inventory control, order fulfillment, and transportation management. Develop and implement demand planning strategies to optimize inventory levels and reduce costs. Oversee fleet management to ensure timely delivery of products while maintaining compliance with safety regulations. Utilize transportation management systems to streamline logistics processes and improve efficiency. Conduct regular assessments of operational performance and identify areas for continuous improvement. Monitor profit loss statements to ensure financial targets are met while maintaining high service levels. Lead a team of warehouse staff, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations to foster a productive work environment. Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures regarding safety, quality control, and operational standards. Qualifications Proven experience in distribution center management or a similar role. Strong knowledge of inventory control practices and order fulfillment processes. Familiarity with numerous WMS Systems is preferred Experience with forklift operations and safety protocols. Demonstrated expertise in transportation management and fleet oversight. Ability to analyze data for demand planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
