Position Summary This position will manage all aspects of the Warehouse Operation, including staffing, managing, planning, scheduling, training, customer walkthroughs and other duties necessary to the business. Overall responsibility to manage the P&L and control costs. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Manage all Warehouse personnel Attend Department Meetings to remain aware of business plans and their effect on warehouse operations Hold weekly chalk talks Responsible for following and ensuring local security practices are enforced in order to deter theft Review scheduling needs and ensure that proper staffing levels are maintained Keep track of daily inbounds. Research and classify product once received into warehouse. Report any damaged appliances or overages/shortages to appliance manufacturer. Check-in drivers’ previous day’s routes. Complete Damage and Defective Tool daily, including taking pictures of all damaged product. Label all products with MS#. Ensure daily routes are ready for driver pickup. Print out Ins Receipts daily. Fill out Ins Adjustment Forms as needed. Perform condition change on Ins Receipts as needed. Update local stock information in CICS daily via LCLI screen. Build/stage AS-IS Loads. Create weekly backhauls for appliance manufacturers. Perform monthly cycle counts. Perform annual physical inventories. Manage inventory appropriately. Ensure proper trash/waste/scrap disposal. Scan in returns, will call and cancelled tickets at the end of each day. Other duties and tasks as assigned. Education and Experience High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Minimum of three (3) years’ experience working in a warehouse environment in the transportation, logistics, or related industry required. Must have previous experience managing employees. Experience controlling equipment inventory preferred but not required. Valid state driver’s license required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word. Operates with a customer service mentality. Ability to manage time effectively and consistently meet deadlines. Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate flexibility and patience. Excellent organization, communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under minimal supervision and with a strong sense of self-motivation. Ability to lead and manage a team. Ability to sufficiently read, speak, and write English in order to understand and give directions, and to complete paperwork accurately. Ability to operate a variety of standard office equipment as dictated by the duties of the job and perform data entry and typing functions. Physical Demands Work is primarily performed in a climate-controlled environment. Occasionally requires work performed in a non-climate-controlled warehouse or outside environment. Requires sitting, walking, and standing. Occasionally requires bending and stooping. Occasionally requires standing and walking for long periods of time. Ability to lift and stack items weighing up to 30 pounds over head, and lift and stack items weighing up to 65 pounds to chest height and carry them a distance of fifty feet. Occasional ability to lift items weighing up to 150 pounds to a height of ten inches. Occasional ability to climb ladders, stairs, and ramps and perform generally heavy labor in various weather conditions and temperatures. Work performed requires the use of hands to control or feel objects and will utilize repetitive movements when entering data. Requires the use of clear speech communicated to others and understanding the speech of another person.
