New Orleans, LA Summary The Operations Supervisor is responsible for all downtown mail services operations. As the team leader they ensure the receipt, processing, and distribution of USPS domestic and international items, inter-departmental material, and private carrier items from private carriers received in Mail Service at HSC. They are responsible for processing and submission of all outgoing USPS mail and items going to private carriers processed in the department. They ensure staff development in the proper use of all systems and applicable mailing and shipping requirements. They provide mailing and shipping guidance to institutional faculty, staff, and students. Maintains operational metrics as directed by department head. Required Qualifications High School Diploma/Equivalent and 3 years in mail or shipping industry experience, to include one year of mail/shipping industry supervisory experience Preferred Qualifications Demonstrates knowledge of USPS domestic and international services and requirements, and private carriers’ services and requirements preferred CMM certification from
IPMA, CMDSM
from MASA, or EMCM from the USPS preferred Experienced with package tracking and shipping software preferred
