Sage Science is seeking an experienced Shipping and Receiving Manager. About the Job We have an immediate need for a Shipping and Receiving Manager with the responsibility to: Oversee daily operations: Manage all activities related to shipping, receiving, and warehousing.

Inventory Management:

Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock counts. Coordinate with procurement and sales to ensure optimal stock levels. Implement and maintain inventory control procedures.

Logistics Coordination:

Arrange and track inbound and outbound shipments with carriers. Prepare shipping documentation (e.g., bills of lading, packing lists, customs forms).

Receiving Procedures:

Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders for accuracy and quality. Inspect goods for damage and discrepancies; resolve issues with suppliers or carriers. Ensure proper storage and put-away of received items.

Safety and Compliance:

Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal shipping regulations. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. The candidate must be able to routinely lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 pounds. Experience and Skills Candidates are required to have the following:

• Proven experience (typically 3-5+ years) in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics management, with at least some experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Experience with ERP Software (eg: Netsuite), Fedex, UPS and DHL Software.
• In-depth knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures, regulations, and best practices.
• Understanding of supply chain principles and inventory control methods.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Meticulous attention to detail for working with numerous part numbers.
• High school diploma
