Electrical Consultants Inc. has immediate openings for an experienced distribution engineer in various ECI offices. Successful candidate will serve as distribution engineer responsible for conceptual, preliminary, and final design of overhead and underground distribution facilities ranging in voltage from 4.16 k

V – 34.5

kV. Focus will be on design of distribution systems both urban and rural.
Responsibilities include:
Design of overhead distribution systems using PLS CADD, Stakeout or other distribution design software.
Preparing staking sheets.
Design of overhead line using RUS pole top and other assemblies based on client standards.
Assembling bid package for construction of the overhead line design.
Designing underground distribution systems.
Knowledge of NESC and other applicable code for design of overhead and underground distribution systems.

Minimum Requirements:

BSEE or equivalent degree, 2 plus years direct experience in distribution line design or a combination of experience and education. Excellent communication, organizational and writing skills a must as candidates will be responsible for client interface and preparation of project design documents including technical design, plan & profile, (structure spotting), staking sheets, contracts and specifications.
