POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dedicated Material Control/Warehouse Manager with at least 5 years of experience in material control and warehouse. The candidate will manage and lead the material control and warehouse activities in achieving objectives.
REQUIREMENTS
At least 5 years of experience in material control and warehouse SKILLS Must have good communication skills, including written, and oral communication in order to effectively communicate with vendors, customers, and employees
Must be knowledgeable in the materials used in the construction/repair of marine vessels and the industry’s vendor base
Must have solid organizational skills and have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Basic computer skills using MS Office applications in addition to strong problem solving and analytical skills
RESPONSIBILITIES
Identifies, develops, and manages effective relationships with existing and potential suppliers of goods and services to meet established cost, quality, and delivery targets in addition to addressing any customer concerns
Coordinates and works with various internal departments in monitoring schedule to proactively identify and address any issues to ensure targets are met
Acts a liaison between vendors/suppliers and project teams
Handles inventory control, reconciliation, and various types of material control/warehouse discrepancies.
Assists AEL Development/Maintenance in maintaining the Allowance Equipage List (AEL) baseline for each ship/contract for location and validity. Ensures all contractually required AEL items are being received, inventoried, packaged, and loaded on board vessels
Works with/assists Facility & Safety Supervisor on all facility repairs and maintenance matters as required
