Hickory, NC Summary We are seeking an experienced Director of Labor and Delivery, Women’s Services to lead and oversee Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery/NICU units. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering professional growth within the department. The Director will play a key role in hiring, training, budgeting, and policy development while working closely with the Chief Nursing Officer. This position offers a leadership opportunity in a dynamic healthcare environment with a focus on patient-centered care, staff development, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery/NICU units Ensure safe, high-quality, and efficient patient care Develop, implement, and assess policies, procedures, and performance goals Manage department budgets and ensure financial efficiency Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance evaluations for nursing staff Lead hiring, recruitment, and training efforts Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements Collaborate with hospital leadership to drive strategic initiatives
Required Qualifications:
Current RN Licensure in North Carolina Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (BSN preferred) BLS (Basic Life Support) certification Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree (highly preferred) At least 2 years of management experience
