Position Summary We’re looking for an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to lead and optimize our multi-site warehouse operations. This role will be responsible for overseeing inbound/outbound logistics, inventory control, safety, and team leadership while ensuring compliance with company policies and operational goals. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong analytical, planning, and people management skills. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following : Establishes operational procedures for activities, such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current. Inspects physical condition of warehouse and equipment and prepares work order for repairs and requisitions for replacement of equipment. Confers with department heads to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with such activities as production, sales, records control, and purchasing. Screens and hires warehouse personnel and issues work assignments. Directs salvage of damaged or used material. May participate in planning personnel-safety and plant-protection activities. Department verifies ALL incoming materials Provides accurate information of all materials entering and returned Plans and organizes layout and locations of materials cost effectively Directs and manages receiving personnel and Clerks plus transferring of ingredient and packaging materials from three off site warehouses. Schedules pickups for various materials (dumpsters, recyclable materials, etc.) Record off-site inventory Stage packaging materials for daily consumption by production floor Assist Director with directing/managing/coaching/mentoring transportation personnel as needed Reporting Daily, Weekly, Monthly Warehouse Operating Reports required using Excel, PowerPoint for presentation to management Warehouse KPI metrics Inbound /Outbound – see extended list below Other duties may be assigned
Computer Skills:
Intermediate-to-Advanced Microsoft Office Proficiency – Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
Supervisory Skills:

Outbound Cost of Receiving Per Receiving Line:
The expense that the warehouse incurs on the receiving process of each receiving line. This includes handling costs as well
Receiving Productivity:
Determined in terms of labor by measuring the volume of goods received per warehouse clerk per hour
Receiving Accuracy:
Percentage of accurate receipts, i.e. the proportion of correctly received orders against purchase orders
Dock Door Utilization:
Percentage of how many of the total dock doors were utilized
Receiving Cycle Time:
The time taken to process each receipt
Putaway Cost Per Line:
Expenses incurred for putting away stock per line, including labor, handling, and equipment costs
Putaway Productivity:
Volume of stock put away per warehouse clerk per hour
Putaway Accuracy:
Percentage of number of items put away accurately at the designated location
Labor and Equipment Utilization:
Percentage of the labor and material handling equipment utilized during the putaway process
Putaway Cycle Time:
Total time taken during the entire process of each putaway task
Carrying Cost of Inventory:
The cost of storage over a particular span of time, including the cost of inventory, capital costs, service costs, damage costs, and costs of obsolescence. The longer the stock stays in storage, the higher the cost to the warehouse.
Storage Productivity:
Volume of inventory stored per square foot
Space Utilization:
Percentage of space occupied by inventory out of the total space available for storage
Inventory Turnover:
The number of times the entire inventory passes through during a period of time Inventory to
Sales Ratio:
Measure of stock levels against sales. This helps managers identify monthly increases in inventory against falling sales.
Picking and Packing Cost:
The cost incurred per order line, including handling, labeling, relabeling, and packing
Picking Productivity:
The number of order lines picked per hour
Picking Accuracy:
The percentage of orders picked and packed without error
Labor and Equipment Utilization:
The percentage of labor & pick/pack equipment out of the total labor and equipment utilized during the process
Picking Cycle Time:
