Summary We are seeking a Yard Manager to oversee our yard operations at Markham Landscape Products Inc. This role is crucial for managing inventory, ensuring efficient material handling, and maintaining our high standards of customer service. The Yard Manager will play a key role in supporting our growth and operational excellence. Responsibilities The Yard Manager is responsible for ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of the Charlotte stock yard.

This includes the following:

Manage and motivate yard employees to accomplish the required tasks. Facilitate teamwork to achieve common goals. Train new and existing yard staff on best practices. Prioritize safety and ensure that yard staff is operating to safety standards. Prevent damage to inventory, our trucks, customers trucks, etc. Coordinate with office and drivers to ensure efficient and accurate loading of outgoing delivery trucks. Coordinate receiving of incoming inventory efficiently. Ensure traffic flows smoothly on the yard. Inventory counting, receiving, and management. Requirements Proven experience in warehouse or yard management, preferably in the landscaping or construction industry. Knowledge of inventory control systems and materials management practices. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to lead a team effectively while promoting a positive work environment. Familiarity with supply chain management concepts is a plus.
