Auto Part Salvage Yard Manager Martin’s Import Salvage, Inc. 3468 Wendell Road, Wendell, NC 27591 Job Summary The Yard Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing all the daily operations of the business. Ensuring efficient management of employees, inventory and shipping and receiving processes. This position requires strong leadership skills to coordinate teams and maintain a safe and organized work environment. The Yard Manager will also be responsible for implementing process improvements and utilizing data analysis skills to enhance operational efficiency. This is not a passive management position. We are a small but mighty company with 15 employees. We need a proactive individual who can effectively manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Duties Manage all aspects of the employment process from interviews, on-boarding, training and mentoring staff on best practices and operational procedures. Coordinate with the inventory manager. Supervise order picking activities to maintain high standards of accuracy and efficiency. Manage shipping and receiving operations, coordinating logistics to ensure timely deliveries and pickups. Handle end of day drawer and run reports. Follow fleet management practices to ensure the safe operation and maintenance of all vehicles. Utilize data analysis skills to assess performance metrics and identify areas for process improvement. Maintain a clean, organized yard environment that adheres to safety regulations. Experience Proven experience in business management, employees, inventory, shipping/receiving. Strong understanding of fleet management principles and practices. Experience with data analysis tools and techniques for operational improvement. Knowledge of Pinnacle yard management and EZSuite a plus. Excellent organizational skills with a focus on process improvement and efficiency. Familiarity with e-commerce operations is a plus. This is a salaried position. It includes yearly goal oriented bonuses. The business hours are Monday -Friday 8am-5pm. There will be required time outside of business hours. We travel to industry conventions approximately 2 times per year for 4 days at a time and would love for you to join us in the continuing education.
