SUMMARY :
To administer and direct a Statewide Fuel Distribution System to allow for successful operations as intended in NH RSA Chapter 228:24-a, Laws of 1983 and to meet the Department’s objectives relative to motor fuels and the storage and distribution of other fuels. All accountabilities must be performed in accordance with State and Department rules and policies, including risk management, safety and environmental standards, regulations and administrative orders.
YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS
: Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Master’s degree from a recognized college or university with a major study in business or related field. Additional years of approved formal education may not be substituted for work experience.
Experience:
Six years’ experience in business management/administration, environmental compliance, operations management or a related field, plus four years in a supervisory or management level position in any occupational area. If related to the program area, the supervisory or management experience will count as part of the six years’ total experience. Each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education at the graduate level only.
License/Certification :
Applicant must possess a valid driver’s license. The applicant’s Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must meet the minimum standards as established by the hiring agency.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be willing to maintain appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by the agency appointing authority.
RESPONSIBILITIES
: Administer all facets of operating the NHDOT’s Bureau of Fuel Distribution’s 24/7 automated motor fuel dispensing system. Research, analyzes, and develops methods for goals, procedures, and objectives for distribution of fuels. Supervise daily operations, analyze and develop short and long-term business plans, develop and administer policies and procedures for a small organizational unit, which supports the motoring fleet of the State. Establish system maintenance procedures and maintain compliance with applicable State and Federal Regulations to ensure safe and efficient operations. Monitor the operations of the central fuel distribution system computer site to ensure equipment performance and availability of motoring fuels for authorized agencies. Prepare and present budget review and project documentation and represent the Department before legislative committees to explain or demonstrate compliance with established state law. Communicate with DOT Bureaus, other State Agencies, municipal governments and non-profit entities to maintain and monitor customer satisfaction.
