The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the daily activities of the warehouse, ensuring efficient processes, and maintaining high standards of safety and productivity. This role requires strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of supply chain management, materials management, and operations management. Responsibilities Oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, and shipping. Implement and maintain effective materials management practices to optimize inventory levels and reduce waste. Utilize transportation management systems to coordinate logistics and ensure timely delivery of products. Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and productivity within the warehouse. Manage supply chain operations to ensure seamless flow of goods from suppliers to customers. Monitor profit loss metrics and develop strategies to improve financial performance within the warehouse. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment. Train, supervise, and evaluate warehouse staff to foster a productive team atmosphere. Coordinate production planning activities to align with demand forecasts and inventory levels. Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as necessary. Skills Strong knowledge of materials management principles and practices. Proficiency in transportation management systems for effective logistics coordination. Experience in process improvement methodologies to streamline operations. Solid understanding of supply chain management concepts. Proven track record in operations management with a focus on efficiency and productivity. Ability to analyze profit loss statements and implement corrective actions as needed. Familiarity with various warehouse systems for inventory tracking and reporting. Experience in purchasing or procurement processes is advantageous. Forklift operation certification is preferred but not mandatory; training may be provided. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
