Job Description
The Warehouse Manager leads the warehouse team by prioritizing safety, continuous improvement, and strong communication to foster a culture of accountability and innovation. They motivate and support their teams through clear goals, relationship-building, and strategic planning to drive high standards in service, quality, and productivity. Client Details Client is family-owned grocery chain in NYC and surrounding areas. Initially specializing in seafood, it has expanded to offer a wide range of premium products, including prime meats, artisanal cheeses, fresh produce, chef-prepared foods, and fine wines. Description Manage warehouse operations by enforcing policies and supporting all store locations. Ensure safety compliance and maintain up-to-date records. Lead, train, and motivate staff to meet departmental goals. Handle entry-level hiring and training. Support employee coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions with management and HR. Collaborate with Safety to maintain a clean, safe work environment. Identify and recommend operational improvements. Oversee multi-department teams and ensure regulatory compliance. Coordinate with other departments to meet company objectives. Monitor product freshness and inventory accuracy with Call Center. Train staff on equipment use to uphold safety and sanitation. Conduct performance reviews and manage scheduling and timekeeping. Adjust labor needs seasonally and enforce cleaning schedules. Perform additional tasks as assigned.
