We are seeking an exceptional Traveling Operations Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to manage and optimize operations across 54+ warehouses, each exceeding 600,000 sq. ft., while overseeing a diverse portfolio of 50+ customers. This position is NOT for the faint-hearted; it demands a strong background, unparalleled business acumen, and the ability to dive deep into operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Excellence:

Assess, identify, and eliminate bottlenecks across various warehouse operations. You will need to have a keen eye for spotting inefficiencies and a strategic mindset to implement solutions effectively.

P&L Management:

Take full ownership of P&L responsibilities, driving profitability while maintaining operational efficiency. You’ll need to balance cost control with customer satisfaction to ensure top-tier service delivery.

Hands-On Leadership:

Be a Jack of all trades in the warehouse environment. Lead by example—get down and dirty when needed! You’ll manage and motivate teams while executing strategies that drive operational success.

Kitting Projects & Peak Season Management:

Coordinate kitting projects and prepare for peak seasons by developing strategic plans to meet high-volume demands. Your leadership will be crucial in ramping up operations and executing flawlessly during high-pressure times.

Technical Proficiency:

Utilize your knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) to streamline inventory control, optimize workflows, and ensure accurate order fulfillment. You should be comfortable with the latest technology and how it can be leveraged for efficiency.

Safety & Compliance:

Ensure all warehouse operations meet safety regulations and industry standards. Your expertise will be vital in promoting a culture of safety while maintaining a productive work environment.

Equipment Mastery:

Be well-versed in operating and maintaining all warehouse equipment. You should be able to train staff on proper equipment usage and safety protocols.

Racking & Layout Optimization:

Demonstrate your ability to design and implement effective racking systems and warehouse layouts to maximize storage and operational efficiency.

Travel & Adaptability:

Be prepared for extensive travel across our 54+ warehouses. You should thrive in dynamic environments and adapt quickly to varying operational challenges.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in operations management within the 3PL, eCommerce, or distribution sectors. Proven experience in P&L management and driving profitability in a warehouse environment. Strong leadership skills with a track record of leading large teams (50+ employees) and fostering a high-performance culture. Hands-on experience in identifying weaknesses in operations and executing effective solutions to improve efficiency. Technical proficiency with WMS, inventory control systems, and warehouse equipment. Ability to build and optimize racking systems and layouts for enhanced operational flow.
