The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the daily activities of the warehouse, ensuring efficient logistics, and maintaining high standards of safety and productivity. This role requires strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of warehouse management principles, including fleet management, materials management, and continuous improvement methodologies. Duties Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management. Manage fleet operations to ensure timely delivery and optimal use of resources. Coordinate logistics to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance. Maintain accurate records of freight movements and inventory levels. Lead a team of warehouse staff, providing training and support to ensure high performance. Monitor compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Analyze profit and loss statements to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency gains. Collaborate with other departments to align warehouse operations with overall business objectives. Requirements Proven experience in warehouse management or a related field. Strong knowledge of fleet management, materials management, shipping/receiving processes, and logistics. Familiarity with dispatching practices and freight handling. Experience in operations management with a focus on continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data related to profit/loss and operational efficiency. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
