Area Manager, CHA2 Position Available In Charleston, South Carolina

Job Description:

Our WW Operations network delivers millions of packages andsmiles to Amazon customers every day. We are looking for motivated,customer-focused individuals who want to join our team as an AreaManager. In this role, you will lead a team of hourly workforce andwill be responsible for engaging your team during their shifts tomaintain the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance, andperformance. You will also play a key role in maintaining ourcustomer expectations to ensure customer orders are delivered atthe right time, to the right location. Our Operation’s workflow hasthree major components: First mile

• where the product is housedand ready for order; Middle mile
• where the order is hauled toyour area; and Last mile
• when the product is delivered to thecustomer’s door. Please note that all workflows have slightbuilding variations, but one thing is constant: our vision anddedication to the customer. Key job responsibilities
• Support,mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce
• Manage safety,quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises
• Collaboratewith all support teams including Safety, Engineering, LossPrevention, Quality Assurance, Human Resources to develop plans tomeet business objectives
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequentlypush, pull, squat, bend, and reach
• Stand/walk for up to 12 hoursduring shifts
• Work in an environment where the noise level variesand can be loud
• Work in an environment that is subject tovariable temperatures and weather (delivery stations includeoutside loading departments)
• Continuously climb and descendstairs (applies to sites with stairs) Our fulfillment networklaunches new Operations sites every year, providing variousopportunities for your professional growth.

We hire Area Managersbased on location preference and the business’ current openings.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 1 years of employee and performancemanagement experience
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 2 yearsof Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
• Work a flexibleschedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/orholidays
• Can push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with productsup to 100 pounds during shifts

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• ABachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations, SupplyChain/Logistics, or related field
• Experience managing a team of5 employees
• Experience with process improvements
