Food & Beverage Controller and Warehouse Manager – Villa Resort 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars 1 Sanctuary Beach Drive, Kiawah Island, SC 29455
Position Summary:
Responsible for developing, implementing, tracking and optimizing our food and beverage cost control initiatives across all outlets of all facilities including the resort warehouse/on island commissary. This position will oversee, analyze, and lead the achievement of financial goals for all aspects of Food & Beverage purchasing, COGS, labor, inventory, and income audit.
Pay Rate:
$70,000
Annual Salary Qualifications:
Knowledge of finance, budgeting, and cost control principles. Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems (currently Food Trak, Oracle Reporting, Micros/Simphony, and Birch Street) Special Knowledge of design and procurement systems Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management. Strong time management and problem solving skills Ability to multi-task, work independently and prioritize in a fast paced environment. Ability to provide quality written, verbal communication skills and work collaboratively with others. Ability to have a professional attitude, demeanor.
Expectations & Responsibilities:
Assist in the development and training of Food & Beverage Managers to ensure a complete understanding of Prime Cost & Income controls and expectation. Manage warehouse staff and oversee distribution for on island commissary Receive invoices from outlets making sure that GL’s and pack sizes/prices are accurate. Check properties and respective inventory list in order to link new items to existing part numbers or create new part numbers. Check warehouse invoices to make sure proper GL’s are charged and items are hitting inventory where applicable. Review Warehouse fulfillment REQ’s to ensure all items are charged for correctly by item description and quantity. Assist with EOM inventory for the Warehouse, and input of F and B outlet inventories to endure proper value for resort assets Assist other outlets with creating and maintaining order guides and REQ list. Research Warehouse variance to discover the cause and or resolution and avoid discrepancies Create AP Invoices for warehouse purchases and f and b invoices Establish standards; supervise, evaluate and review warehouse staff performance in accordance with company guidelines. Provide financial analysis and support to all units and management staff as directed by the Food and Beverage Director Ensure that the needed controls are in place to maximize profits or minimize losses by retaining revenues, reducing expenses and safeguarding resort assets. Ensure that corporate policies and procedures are in place and operating effectively. Ensure that non-compliance with legal requirements and contractual obligations, including obligations under a management agreement, is reported to the General Manager Participate in monthly department meetings at the property; M.O.D. Program and weekly staff meetings Conduct self to reflect the high standards of professionalism within the organization. Learn, understand and refer to the management company’s Standard Operating Procedures. Responsible for proper completion of payroll processing and preparation. Ensure property is engage and following the company Guiding Principles and Drivers at all times. Perform other duties as may be required by the General Manager or Corporate Accounting Department.
Essential Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50+ pounds across short-medium distance Must be able to be on feet for majority of the shift: standing, stooping, bending, stretching and lifting. Must be able to work on site due to daily needs of the job requirements.
