Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Warehouse Manager to oversee all warehouse operations at our Charlotte location. This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities from inbound to outbound processes, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in our operations. The ideal candidate will lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic and a go-getter mentality while fostering a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations Management:
Oversee and actively perform all aspects of warehouse operations alongside associate-level distribution teammates, including receiving, receipt verification, storage of inbound goods, inventory management, picking, packing, palletizing, and shipping. This will also include route management and general logistics coordination of our local delivery drivers. Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout all warehouse processes.
Direct Reports:
Oversee warehouse associates, CDL delivery drivers, supervisors/leads, and paint mixing employees (tint specialists) Who Buys Our Goods? –
Summary of Customers:
Cabinet Shops Commercial and Residential Millwork Fabricators Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate inventory levels and implement best practices for inventory control. Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory integrity.
Team Leadership:
Supervise and motivate warehouse staff, providing training and support as needed. Participate in the hiring process, conducting interviews and onboarding new team members.
Administrative Duties and Site management:
Manage scheduling for warehouse staff, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts. Document disciplinary actions and performance evaluations in accordance with company policies in close collaboration with regional operations leadership and human resources. Schedule site maintenance and preventative maintenance as needed including landscaping and waste management and other repairs as needed
Performance Metrics:
Monitor and evaluate operational performance through quantitative and qualitative metrics. Implement improvements and best practices to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in warehouse management or a related field. Strong understanding of warehouse operations, logistics, and inventory management. Ability to perform physical tasks associated with standard warehouse duties. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficient in administrative tasks and using warehouse management systems. Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
