Oversee and coordinate all of the warehousing operations at SK Food Group Operational Sites.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following: Manage the on-site, multi-shift warehouse operation including the receiving, shipping, inventory and WIP/RTS departments. Manage off-site warehouses, as assigned. Manage the dock time management system for inbound and outbound freight. Work with Scheduling and Production to eliminate order shortages. Manage inventory control such that inventory accuracy is 98+%. Manage the removal of waste, excess, expired component and finished goods utilizing Food Bank or other charity when appropriate. Provide input to sales on products soon to expire to reduce and/or eliminate expired product occurrences. Assist Quality Assurance on auditing of components for quality specification compliance. Provide analysis and recommendations on combining of components, substitutions of components, and potential issues with standard waste factors being utilized. Work with Scheduling and Purchasing departments to reduce component and finished goods inventory as close to ‘just-in-time’ as possible. Recommend capital expenditures for warehousing functions. Monitor the quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods. Ensure that all appropriate safety regulations are being followed both with regards to personal safety and the safe operation of all PIT equipment. Responsible for warehouse safety development and implementation of safety programs. Other duties as assigned. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervised assigned associates to include Warehouse Supervisors.
QUALIFICATIONS
Four year College degree or equivalent; or 7+ years of related experience and/or training in a food or food related industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience. APICS certification is a plus. Required skills in communication, problem solving, decision-making, prioritizing work, and organization. Ability to motivate and lead a team. Good spoken and written communication ability. Working experience with Microsoft Office applications.
