Warehouse and Rebar Fabrication Manager Job Summary:
The Warehouse and Rebar Fabrication Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of our warehouse operations and rebar fabrication facility. This includes managing inventory, optimizing material flow, ensuring efficient and accurate rebar cutting and bending, maintaining a safe working environment, and leading a team of warehouse and fabrication personnel. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse management, rebar fabrication processes, safety protocols, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
Manage and optimize the rebar fabrication process from raw material to finished product, ensuring adherence to project specifications and quality standards. Develop and implement efficient layouts and workflows for both warehouse and fabrication areas to maximize productivity and space utilization. Monitor and control inventory levels, conducting regular audits and cycle counts to ensure accuracy. Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions. Ensure all equipment (forklifts, rebar cutters, benders, etc.) is properly maintained and operated safely.
Safety & Compliance:
Develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive safety programs and procedures for both warehouse and fabrication areas, in compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies. Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments. Ensure all personnel are trained on proper equipment operation, material handling, and safety protocols.
Quality Control:
Implement and enforce quality control procedures for both incoming materials and fabricated rebar. Ensure rebar is fabricated accurately to specifications, minimizing waste and rework. Conduct regular quality checks and inspections throughout the fabrication process.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in rebar fabrication operations, including knowledge of rebar specifications (e.g., ASTM standards), cutting, bending, and scheduling. Strong understanding of inventory management principles and systems. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Forklift experience with various material handling equipment. Physical ability to perform duties in a warehouse and fabrication environment, including lifting, standing, and moving equipment.
