out of the Knoxville Terminal. The Manager will maintain a strong daily presence at the FedEx terminal and build positive working relationships with all FedEx employees. This is not a standard Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm position. It will require some longer hours at times, as well as availability on weekends. However, we offer flexibility with your schedule when circumstances allow.

• While we prefer candidates with FedEx BC management experience, we are open to considering experience with UPS, Amazon, DHI, etc.

• Manager Day-to-Day Operations:

• Ensure all daily pickup and delivery routes are staffed, trucks are operational, and routes are completed successfully.
• Schedule routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to prevent unnecessary breakdowns.
• Train new drivers to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Ensure drivers comply with, Hours of Service regulations, and conduct Pre-Trip/Post-Trip Inspections.
• Foster a culture of safety and ensure each driver is up to date on monthly safety training.
• Work closely with the Fleet Manager to ensure proper operation and routine maintenance of all trucks.
• Monitor the performance management of all drivers assigned to the terminal/location.
• Be physically willing and able to drive a P-1000 sized vehicle for package pickup and delivery to both residential and commercial recipients.
• Exhibit excellent contingency planning skills.
• Establish relationships with part-time drivers and other FedEx contractors in the building for mutual support when needed.
• Be prepared to step in as a contingency resource to deliver packages during driver call-offs, shortages, high volume periods, or unforeseen circumstances.
• Ability to drive Step Vans, Box Trucks, and Sprinter Vans, including 26-ft box trucks.
• Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate delivery vehicles.
• Adhere to DOT regulations and safety standards

• Manager Requirements:

• Must pass a background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) check.
• Prior management experience is required.
• One year of driving experience within the last three years, or five years of experience within the last ten years.
• Clean motor vehicle record.
• Must be over 21 years of age.
• Must pass a drug test and DOT physical.
• No felonies or violent misdemeanors or drug-related misdemeanors in the last ten years.
