Summary:
This role will work to manage all operational functions of the logistics product and to ensure the efficiency and quality of the operations. This will include managing and maintaining relationships with key accounts and participating in regular business reviews alongside the General Manager. This includes overseeing a team of logistics professionals and ensuring corporate policies and safety standards set by the company and OSHA are adhered to while building operational efficiencies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Managing all operational functions of the logistics product, including inventory, shipping, receiving, putaway, picking, and storage of all client product Managing the efficiency and quality of the Value-Added Services operations Managing relationships with key accounts in the facility, including participating in regular business reviews Reviewing reports daily to overheads such as personnel, equipment, space, and other costs, using internal business intelligence reporting tools Monitoring client account performance to ensure results are aligned with internal metrics and client contracts Monitoring accounting functions including billing, invoicing, and costing Supporting the implementation of process improvements to continue building operational efficiencies Meeting with potential clients alongside General Manager to secure additional business for the operation Overseeing a team of logistics professionals, ranging from entry level warehouse employees to account leads and supervisors. This includes HR related responsibilities such as time off, training and development, performance management, recruitment, and disciplinary matters Ensuring resources allocations such as warehouse space, labor and equipment meet business needs Adhering to and enforcing corporate policies and safety standards set by company and OSHA Performing additional duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job does have supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
4+ years’ experience in logistics warehouse environment 4+ years’ experience in progressively higher-level management role
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
College degree or equivalent experience / Experience using WMS and Cargowise/Bilingual Forklift certification or other certifications related to logistics and supply chain operations
ENVIRONMENT
A collaborative culture of logistics and freight enthusiasts Work is generally performed in a warehouse environment around machinery and moving parts. Warehouse duties may be subject to varying temperatures and high levels of dust and noise. This role requires individuals to talk, hear, use hands, stand, walk, sit, and see. Ability to lift, lower, and maneuver packages between 20 and 70 lbs.
