Scheduling Supervisor Job Description The Scheduling Supervisor provides leadership to the Production Control Team, aiming to achieve the company’s goals outlined in the Plant’s Annual Operating Plan. This role focuses on safety, quality, delivery, cost, and efficiency. The supervisor will direct the development and coordination of plant-wide schedules to meet customer due dates, achieve productivity goals, eliminate waste, and minimize work-in-progress inventory levels. Additionally, the supervisor will offer necessary on-the-job training to Flow Line Coordinators and coordinate activities within the Scheduling Department with all support departments. They will champion lean pull systems and DFT material flow processes to improve throughput across production areas and be recognized as the Plant Authority on scheduling issues. Responsibilities Supervise receiving, inventory storage, and disbursement of all inventory to off-line RIP locations by setting priorities and directing MCA activities. Provide direction in FTZ compliance efforts at the Greenville Plant. Train employees on inventory control and accuracy procedures and policies through personal and group training, job rotation, and meetings. Maintain and establish stores locations, including rack locations, POU locations, DFT, and adhere to compliance relating to inventory preservation and control, including FIFO techniques. Establish departmental budgets, minimize warehouse requirements, manage overtime, and implement policies and procedures to increase efficiencies in stores. Assist in physical inventory taking by supplying manpower requirements and providing direct and indirect supervision. Engage in production planning and control, cycle counting, inventory control, just-in-time policies, receiving procedures, material flow, material handling, stock levels, location systems, BOM structures, inventory transactions, and planning. Essential Skills Bachelor’s degree in Management or related discipline. 5+ years of experience in manufacturing situations and inventory management. 3+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, including production and inventory control. Strong leadership skills with the ability to interact with people at all levels, emphasizing the importance of inventory accuracy. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in production supervision, schedule planning, and scheduling coordination. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, material planning, and lean manufacturing. Proficiency in SAP, supply chain management, and Microsoft Office. Work Environment The role is based in a plant environment, reporting directly to the Material Flow Manager. The supervisor will manage a team of 4 Flow Line Coordinators. This position offers the opportunity to join a growing team, with potential advancement to a planner role. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $80000.00 – $95000.00/yr.
