We are a leading Broiler Breeder company dedicated to advancing poultry genetics and delivering high-quality breeding stock to poultry producers worldwide. With a commitment to animal welfare, innovation, and global sustainability, we support the world’s protein needs through robust supply chain and production planning. We are seeking a mid-level Supply Chain Manager / Production Planner to support global and domestic planning efforts, ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of hatching eggs and day-old chicks. This role will manage production forecasts, coordinate with farms and hatcheries, and optimize inventory and logistics operations to meet customer demand.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities Collaborate with internal stakeholders (breeding farms, hatcheries, sales, and logistics teams) to develop and execute mid-to-long-term supply and production plans. Analyze and manage production data, hatching schedules, and capacity planning to align with global demand forecasts. Monitor inventory levels of hatching eggs and chicks across domestic and international locations. Coordinate cross-functional planning efforts to reduce stockouts, minimize waste, and improve service levels. Work closely with the Director of Global Planning to align regional plans with global strategy and performance targets. Support scenario planning, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies for supply chain disruptions. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as forecast accuracy, inventory turns, and delivery performance. Utilize planning systems to maintain planning data and reporting accuracy. Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives in production and planning processes. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Agriculture, or a related field. 3-7 years of experience in supply chain planning, production scheduling, or operations management; poultry or agribusiness experience strongly preferred. Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage complex planning cycles. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and planning software tools; Knowledge of broiler breeder production cycles and biological supply chain constraints is a strong advantage. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment. Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a dynamic and evolving global supply chain. Preferred Experience Experience with international supply chains or global inventory planning. Familiarity with poultry biology and production nuances (lay curves, hatch rates, fertility trends). Work Environment & Travel Office-based in Huntsville, Alabama with periodic visits to local farms, hatcheries, or distribution centers. Occasional domestic or international travel may be required (less than 10%).
