Responsible for achieving key performance indicators, meeting departmental targets, strategic planning, budgeting, and enhance stakeholder relations. Develop and implement plans for efficiency, allocate resources where needed, budget conscience, and make sound decisions for the benefit of the health system. Provide leadership and mentor several direct reports in multiple hospital locations to ensure they effectively process receipts as well as inventory, store, distribute and ship medical supplies and equipment, efficiently and in a cost-effective manner. Primary Accountabilities Establish and ensure procedures are followed to assure patient care is not compromised. Oversee all aspects of inventory management. Establish and monitor policy for dated product handling, ensure appropriate procedures are adhered to regarding product rotation and review performance for appropriate stocking levels. Engage clinical leaders and customers in monthly meetings utilizing appropriate dashboards and Supply Chain technology reporting to understand changes in practice, reviewing hot/cold items or needed par changes. Establish objectives and strategies for Materials Management in support of assigned facility goals. Act as Emergency Management Representative for assigned location. Partner with Value Analysis and Contract management teams to prepare for product conversion, evaluations, tabletop demonstrations and vendor fairs. Attend respective VAT meetings. Ensure security as per policy and procedure guidelines from AHCA and The Joint Commission regulations are followed. Ensure quality systems and regulatory compliance with TJC, HIPAA, etc. requirements as evaluated by inspections and outcomes. Manage receiving functions for all assigned facility. Manage delivery of products throughout each facility in a timely and efficient manner. Manage the needs of the surgical schedule daily with the clinical team and coordinate with approved and authorized vendors to be sure that necessary instrumentation, supplies and/or implants are available for surgical procedure. Manage consignment inventory ensuring proper orders, on hand quantities, expiration dates, and modify as needed to ensure timely and adequate inventory; Identify cost saving initiatives in specialized equipment, materials, and supplies. Manage compliance guidelines and regulatory agencies specific to managing allograft/bone and tissue from order to consumption. Including the maintenance and audit of logs and populating required information into the tissue tracking software. Oversee Vendor Management program, badging/education/regulations, and reports vendor non-compliance to the applicable office for action.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Demonstrated knowledge of supply chain management functions to include shipping, receiving, inventory management, warehouse storage, distribution, and regulations and related safety requirements. General knowledge of Just-in-Time (JIT), 2 Bin KanBan Inventory, Vendor Managed Inventories (VMI), Tissue implant inventory and Federal regulations, surgical services support. Ability to navigate and manage multiple information systems, experience with PeopleSoft or other ERP systems. Proficient in Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision. Strong critical thinking skills. Strong communication skills and professional presence. Ability to maintain composure in stressful office environment. General knowledge of LEAN Methodologies.

Advanced level in navigating and managing multiple information systems, experience with PeopleSoft or other ERP systems. Advanced level in Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Advanced level in LEAN methodologies and membership/experience with supply chain organizations (AHRMM). Knowledge of medical supplies (including surgical supplies).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Majority of time involves sitting or standing; occasional walking, bending, stooping. Long periods of computer time or at workstation. Light work that may include lifting or moving objects up to 20 pounds with or without assistance. May be exposed to inside environments with varied temperatures, air quality, lighting and/or low to moderate noise. Communicating with others to exchange information.
