The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the logistics and distribution processes, ensuring efficient shipping and receiving, and maintaining optimal inventory levels. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems and the ability to coordinate with various departments to streamline operations. An operations manager in a heavy lifting environment is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of operations. This includes planning, scheduling, and executing projects while ensuring safety, efficiency, and client satisfaction. Responsibilities Oversee daily logistics operations, including distribution center management, shipping, and receiving activities. Implement and maintain warehouse management systems to optimize inventory control and improve efficiency. Collaborate with supply chain teams to develop effective category management strategies that align with business goals. Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies. Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency. Analyze logistics data to identify trends, improve processes, and reduce costs. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies within the warehouse environment. Travel to trade shows within the US and manage the set up/break down process with the team. Skills Proven experience in logistics management within ecommerce business. Strong knowledge of shipping and receiving processes, including documentation requirements. Excellent organizational skills with a focus on inventory control and supply chain optimization. Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical skills for data-driven decision-making related to logistics operations. Exceptional communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external partners. Manage equipment, and other resources to ensure efficient and timely execution of projects. Manage budgets, monitors expenses, and implements cost-saving initiatives. Strong leadership skills to coach, and mentors operational teams, ensuring they are trained, motivated, and perform to a high standard Develop and implement operational plans for projects, considering factors like timelines, resource allocation, and risk assessment.
