Parts Department Manager 4.2 4.2 out of 5 stars Green Cove Springs, FL We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Parts Department Manager to lead our parts department across multiple locations. This role is critical to ensuring efficient parts procurement, inventory accuracy, vendor relationships, and support for service teams. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, understands inventory systems, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of the parts department, including receiving, stocking, inventory control, and distribution of parts. Supervise and support a team of parts staff, ensuring proper training and performance management. Work closely with service and field teams to ensure timely availability of parts for equipment repairs and maintenance. Source parts from multiple vendors while managing cost, quality, and delivery time. Maintain and improve inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and audits. Implement and monitor purchasing systems, reorder points, and parts usage trends. Manage vendor relationships and negotiate pricing or bulk order terms where applicable. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized parts storage area. Utilize inventory software (such as B2W) for real-time tracking and reporting.
Requirements:
3+ years experience in parts management, inventory control, or similar field (construction, fleet, or heavy equipment industries preferred). Experience managing a small team and overseeing multi-location inventory is a plus. Strong knowledge of parts sourcing, pricing, and logistics. Proficiency with inventory software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to thrive in a hands-on, problem-solving environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with service departments or field service operations. Familiarity with heavy equipment or fleet repair parts. Knowledge of safety and compliance standards related to inventory handling.
