Pay Rate:
$35-$40/hr. Overview Our client is a leading company in the aviation industry, providing comprehensive customer service support throughout the lifecycle of aircraft. The company’s team in Miami plays a pivotal role in ensuring operational excellence and managing critical customer situations, especially in relation to repair suppliers. As a Flight Services Repair Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for managing the timely and cost-effective repair and delivery of parts. You will oversee supplier performance, address any operational issues, and foster relationships that ensure the highest quality standards are met.
Responsibilities:
Challenge and validate commercial quotations in line with procurement guidelines (e.g., flat rate, PBH, time & material). Contribute to the achievement of global FHS Repair cost targets. Oversee supplier performance to ensure timely delivery and repair of parts according to contractual obligations. Identify root causes of issues, initiate corrective actions, and follow up at supplier facilities. Conduct operational meetings with repair shops to address outstanding issues, repair statuses, and reconcile data. Ensure suppliers adhere to technical standards (SB, upgrades), work scopes (minor/major repair), and certifications (EASA, FAA, CAAS).
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Aerospace, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred. A minimum of three years of experience in the aviation or supply chain industry. Expertise in supply chain management and supplier operations required. Willingness to travel up to 10% to visit suppliers (3-5 times per year). Strong negotiation skills, relationship management, and results-oriented approach. Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Technical knowledge to challenge quotations using the Component Maintenance Manual (CMM). Experience with Maintenance Part 145 is a plus. Fluency in English (spoken, written, and influencing) required; proficiency in French or Spanish is a plus. Experience with Google Workspace (Gmail, Gslide, Gsheet) SAP experience.
