About the Role We are seeking a highly organized and detail-driven Operations & Logistics Manager to oversee our warehouse operations, manage our efforts in purchasing and inventory, and streamline logistics for our biomedical materials and shipments. This role will be pivotal in ensuring efficient supply chain operations, from receipt and storage of materials to distribution and vendor management.
Key Responsibilities Warehouse Management:
Oversee daily operations in our warehouse facilities across Miami and Fort Lauderdale, ensuring safe and efficient storage of biological materials. Implement and maintain inventory control systems to optimize stock levels and prevent shortages or overstock situations. Coordinate with our Production and Warehouse teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of incoming and outgoing goods.
Purchasing & Inventory:
Manage purchasing processes for equipment, supplies, and materials, negotiating with vendors to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms. Work closely with the supply chain team to forecast inventory needs and ensure the seamless procurement of goods. Maintain accurate records of purchases, returns, and vendor performance, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination:
Plan and execute logistics strategies to optimize the distribution of materials both within the company and to external partners. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality Assurance and Finance, to support distribution schedules and enhance overall supply chain efficiency. Analyze transportation costs and performance metrics to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve delivery timelines.
Process and Facilities Improvement:
Evaluate existing warehouse, purchasing, and logistics processes; develop and implement process improvements to boost efficiency and reduce costs. Enforce compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regulatory requirements. Partner with the Quality Assurance team to investigate non-conformance issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Develop with management a facilities improvement plan. Manage priority list of facilities and maintenance, coordinate and assign resources as appropriate. Ideal Candidate Qualifications Strong organizational skills with experience in operations, warehouse management, purchasing, or logistics. Proficient in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems, especially Sage, is ideal. Excellent negotiation skills and experience working with vendors. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on ensuring accuracy in inventory and logistics operations. Strong supervisory or managerial experience in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual candidates (English and Spanish) are encouraged to apply. Previous experience in a regulated environment is preferred, although candidates from related fields are welcome.
