Supervisor, Materials Management The University of Miami/UHealth department of Supply Chain has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Supervisor, Materials Management to work in Doral, FL. The Supervisor, Materials Management oversees and coordinates the activities of employees in charge of handling and transporting materials to and from different departments across the University. Additionally, the incumbent ensures that all material needs are met throughout the organization. + Assists the shipping and receiving manager in overseeing the receiving flow in the department at our various satellite locations. + Ensures that all required documentation related to receiving, stock and non-stock supply distribution is maintained in a neat and orderly fashion. + Coordinates emergency deliveries with the Transportation department administration. + Researches any special-order delivery issues in response to end-user complaints. + Assist with the unloading, unpacking and storage of inventory items as they are received. Notifies the Inventory Coordinator of any change in movement of products, such as overstocking of items or slow-moving items. + Verify and report all noted item quantity discrepancies to the Inventory Coordinator/ Shipping and Receiving Manager. + Delivery of stock and non-stock items to all affiliated hospitals and clinics. + Fills pick tickets/computer requisitions and delivers supplies to hospital departments in a timely manner. + Assist with annual and cycle count events as directed by the Shipping and Receiving Manager. + Assist with the loading and unloading of the department’s delivery truck and bring all supplies and or equipment into the department. Use of a pallet jack may be required. + Responsible for assuring that all work areas and storage areas are maintained in a safe and proper appearance. + Comply with all written policy and procedures as outlined in the Warehouse manual. + Works with the Purchasing department to expedite the Return-Goods-Authorization function. + Functions as the liaison between Receiving, Purchasing and the Inventory Coordinator in resolving any discrepant receipts. + Performs other duties as requested by the Manager or the Director of Supply Chain Services. Core Qualifications + High School graduate. + Three years previous warehouse experience required. + Valid FL Drivers License required + Must have a valid Florida driver’s license and a good driving record.

Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:

+ General knowledge of office procedures and operations. + Previous experience with an automated inventory management system preferred. + Ability to accurately prepare and maintain records, files, reports and correspondence + Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form + Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion + Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail + Proficiency in computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office) + Ability to lift 50 lbs Any relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered.
