ABOUT THE ROLE
The Receiving/Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for supervising the daily activities of the IC/Receiving staff, including regular and temporary employees. Activities include overseeing the receipt, unloading, sorting and put away functions of the department to ensure efficiency and productivity. Provide direct interaction with all team members involved in Cycle counting, up-stock verification, Restock, Case Picking, Receiving, Shortages, Returns and Product Transfers. Responsible for leading and motivating employees to perform at their highest levels to meet or exceed performance standards and meet or exceed cost and safety standards. This is a hands-on position, that will require a strong floor presence. Must adhere to the guidelines presented in the S&S Activewear Employee Handbook.

WHAT
YOU WILL DO
Oversee incoming shipment activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
Direct the receipt, unloading, sorting, staging and putaway of shipments.
Utilize Advance Shipment Notice system to verify and keep records on incoming shipments against shipping documents for accuracy.
Maintain a Receiving schedule for all inbound shipments
Assign Cycle count batches to the appropriate team members and process cycle count review screen daily.
Reconcile count discrepancies daily.
Monitor restock progress and process to ensure accuracy and efficiency
Reconcile the receipt of inbound goods against ASNs
Monitor and correct the receiving Adjust Quantity Screen
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the Returns process.
Provide input in the planning and execution of Special Projects related to Inventory Control
Maintain organized hard and soft copies of files and relevant documents, records, checklists, etc.
Maintain close communication with Direct Manager and Operations Manager to ensure timely receipt and posting of conduct to inventory.
Assist the Operations Manager in short and long-term planning, evaluation of effectiveness of department work methods.
Work as a team with other department managers or staff to meet the company’s goals and objectives.
Ensure the quality and timeliness of data entered into the computer systems by subordinates.
Ensure proper material handling procedures so that no products are damaged in the warehouse.
Assist the Operations Manager with overall security of the facility, including product loss control.
Execute the processes an procedures related to wireless warehouse functionality, including employee training and security of the handheld devices.
Ensure the organization and cleanliness of the receiving department.
Attend required meetings; schedule departmental meetings as needed.
Assist Operations Manager in daily labor scheduling of the receiving/IC department based on needs; keep overtime within standards.
Manage absences and requests for time off for subordinates to ensure adequate staffing levels.
Hold Subordinates accountable for meeting departmental and individual standards for performance and perform annual performance evaluations.
Lead receiving/IC employees to perform at standards or higher by setting clear expectations and providing motivation and regular feedback.
Execute programs to ensure that workplace safety standards are met; ensure compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations.
Monitor material handling equipment, forklifts, order pickers, and other equipment in safe working condition.
Monitor safety equipment, fall protection harness, and other materials related to occupational safety; ensure the daily safety checklists are completed and maintained for the department.
Ensure compliance of all receiving personnel with the company’s safety policies and procedures and OSHA standards.
Conduct accident investigations and find solutions to prevent accidents from occurring with the assistance of the Warehouse Manager and Human Resources.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
High School Degree or Equivalent
Experience should be in a fast-paced pick and pack distribution warehouse
Experience with lean and process improvement techniques.
Experience with the duties and responsibilities listed in this job description
Experience in an apparel distribution (pick/pack) warehouse is preferred
Broad range of people skills, with emphasis on leadership, supervision, motivation, and interpersonal communication
Broad range of management skills, including organizing, planning, analyzing, and understanding work systems and flow charts
High level of English communication skills and fluency (read, write, speak)
Highly organized and efficient

PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIRED
Must be able to wear proper safety equipment (safety toe shoes, bump caps and safety vest). PPE is company-provided with a $100 stipend on safety-toe shoes after 90 days of employment.
Physical Demands
The role will involve both office tasks and time on the warehouse floor, which may require standing and walking for over 8 hours a day. The position also involves operating a stock chaser to navigate the warehouse. Moderate hand-eye coordination, as well as near and far vision and hearing, are necessary for the role.
Working Environment
The job will be performed entirely in the warehouse where conditions can range from warm to cool. The job will be performed around warehouse machines and equipment with a moderate level of noise.
