About This Role:
We are looking for a Director of Supply Chain who will lead a team for the Aftermarket Supply Chain, including purchasing, planning, inventory analysis and inbound logistics. Key responsibilities include the development of policies, procedures, and objectives for the Company’s supply chain and logistics in accordance with corporate objectives. This position will also play a critical role in recommending improvements in the overall supply chain processes, which will advance the interests of the corporation, including growth into new segments and vertical markets. Provide leadership for supplier sourcing and development, as well as promoting good inter-departmental relationships. This position has a fiduciary responsibility to both commit and monitor funds for all commodities.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Leadership across all components of the supply chain organization to ensure world-class standards of performance, efficiency, regulatory compliance, costing, and customer service. Optimize supply chain strategies across all Hercules US sites to support the organization’s financial and strategic goals, including high customer service levels and reduced product and logistics costs resulting in a competitive advantage for the company. This includes the minimization of stockouts that restrict revenue in fast paced Aftermarket environment. Develop and maintain relationships with supplier base to support organization needs. Determine optimal number of suppliers; lead supplier site visits. Identify and qualify new suppliers in support of sourcing requirements. Identify and source products to achieve product goals. Leverage purchasing volumes to improve product costs and efficiencies. Evaluate supplier performance and their proposals for suitability in attaining strategic goals. Negotiate terms of major contracts and blanket orders. Analyze inventory levels for all purchased parts to minimize inventory investment while avoiding shortages of necessary products. Proactively lead plans and programs to drive consistently high levels of performance by all key individuals and teams across the supply chain team. Interact with company personnel and external business representatives to enhance procurement activities and ensure that customer requirements are fulfilled. Develop, track, and execute the plans for cross-functional supply chain related projects across all Company Divisions. Identify opportunities for improvement. Analyze market conditions to determine present and future material availability and price and prepares reports for top management. Publish to the organization monthly inventory status and purchasing metrics. Provide leadership and mentorship for growth of employees in the organization. Ensure adherence to headcount and budgets for the supply chain department. Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Product Development and Operations departments to ensure processes are efficient and effective, resulting in optimal success for the business.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years supply chain management experience Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management or related field High level and detailed Inventory control or planning experience is required. Detailed knowledge of quality management systems and standards such as

Practical problem-solver using quantitative analytical skills. Extensive working knowledge in
Microsoft Office:
Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with hydraulic sealing products & cylinder applications is advantageous.
