Job Summary The Import and Logistics Manager is responsible for all aspects of the company’s logistics operation (inbound freight, customs, warehousing, and delivery). This position supervises logistics coordinators. The incumbent is the subject matter expert for movement for material, import rules and regulations, and duties. Responsibilities Initiate, monitor, and revise policies, procedures, and service standards for customs clearance, freight, and brokerage. Develop and present internal compliance training, conduct regulatory compliance/entry audit and develop and maintain associated databases, reports, and documentation to ensure full compliance with customs laws and regulations. Stay current with changes in trade regulations, customs rulings, and tariff changes. Set, measure, and review KPIs, targets, and objectives for direct reports, as appropriate, to facilitate the achievement of company objectives and personnel development. Incumbent should be subject matter expert on import/export rules. Respond promptly to customer inquiries and status requests. Proactively anticipate, develop, and enhance department process, procedures, personnel as business grows. Participates in third-party negotiations (freight, brokerage, warehousing) Manage, train, and develop multiple direct reports. Perform other duties as needed Requirements/Qualifications U.S. Customs Broker license preferred. Bachelor’s Degree preferred (or equivalent work experience). +3 years of extensive knowledge of Customs brokerage industry to demonstrate firm understanding of all functions related to importing into the US via air, ocean, domestic delivery; and regulatory compliance. Must have proficient use of SAP, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet research skills. Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation) with ability to create, implement, and conduct training programs. Excellent people skills and the ability to work as a team member, leader, and interact with all levels in a cross-functional, global environment. Strong organizational skills and action-oriented decision making. Proven ability to perform HTS classification. Familiar with national security programs (C-TPAT, PIP, AEO, etc.). Maintain processes and documentation to retain status in qualified programs. This position is in the corporate office in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL and is not eligible for remote work.
